It’s that time of the year when everyone is slowly getting back to work and people are asking each other: “So, what are your New Year’s resolutions?”.
A thing invented by our society that creates anxiety and stress in many of us, year after year.
So what if this year we don’t make any?
Nothing will happen, absolutely nothing.
So let’s keep the list empty for once. Give yourself some slack, don’t stress about it, and don’t think about it.
And no, you do not have to live in the moment, be fully present, and enjoy every minute to the maximum possible. You don’t have to make this year the year.
Let’s not go that way either.
That’s why I say to leave the list empty. Don’t fill it out.
Tomorrow will be tomorrow. That’s all.
And that is surprisingly freeing, and refreshing.
Isn’t it?
